The here and now... and what and why

Complacency is a trap. At least that’s what I was thinking when I up and left the comfort of a Yankee prep school gig, where I taught music, amongst other things, for 28 years. There was also that life long career as a composer, musician and artist.

First, it was a year in St. Thomas, USVI, working as a reporter and shooting photography and then, a year in San Agustin Etla, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Time passed.
More time passed and a year back in the Athens of America followed by a hasty return to Oaxaca where it is all happening.
A couple of years in San Sebastian Etla and now, just down the road in San Pablo Etla. Life is good.

...but what about that wonderful garden you have been putting so much work and devotion into? What will happen to it ?

For my entire life, I have always does this, leave a place better than when I found it. Even when I was a super in a project in VA. The work was all good therapy and the place really does look great, but not my problem now. It will be fun to go back every now and then to see how things are doing. The new place is much, much smaller and has great potential.

Please excuse me for being so forward, but is the place you are leaving available for rental?
I'm in centro at present but certainly would be attracted to a place like yours in el campo if its available.

It sure is, but be advised, I moved for a reason. When I started there five years ago there were almost no houses around me. Now, well, let's just say there was a building boom that changed everything, at least for me. They were right on top of me.
