The here and now... and what and why

Complacency is a trap. At least that’s what I was thinking when I up and left the comfort of a Yankee prep school gig, where I taught music, amongst other things, for 28 years. There was also that life long career as a composer, musician and artist.

First, it was a year in St. Thomas, USVI, working as a reporter and shooting photography and then, a year in San Agustin Etla, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Time passed.
More time passed and a year back in the Athens of America followed by a hasty return to Oaxaca where it is all happening.
A couple of years in San Sebastian Etla and now, just down the road in San Pablo Etla. Life is good.

I have never commented before but I love your blog and the photos you take.

I also have never been to Oaxaca either, but I have spent time in Yucatán (mostly Chemuyil) and Chihuahua (Ciudad Juárez).

Anyway Christopher, I LOVE your photo of the el pendejo mural, but not sure what the significance is of los conejos.

Also I wanted to know if you mind if I put this photo on my Instagram page?

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy the blog... I do, too. And sure you can use the photo. It's from the Mal de Amor palenque.

Thank you for the info. I did a search and found several Instagram pages and a couple of Facebook pages from Mal de Amor Palenque OR Palenque Mal de Amor.

I am assuming this is a business in Oaxaca?

If so, do you have a link for their official page/pages?

All I can find are the FB pages.
