The here and now... and what and why

Complacency is a trap. At least that’s what I was thinking when I up and left the comfort of a Yankee prep school gig, where I taught music, amongst other things, for 28 years. There was also that life long career as a composer, musician and artist.

First, it was a year in St. Thomas, USVI, working as a reporter and shooting photography and then, a year in San Agustin Etla, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Time passed.
More time passed and a year back in the Athens of America followed by a hasty return to Oaxaca where it is all happening.
A couple of years in San Sebastian Etla and now, just down the road in San Pablo Etla. Life is good.

This country makes me sick

No really, I have the first cold I have had in years and it is a good one.

OTH.... El Norte... sigh.... the politicians, the ones who hate everything and who have no self-awareness and compassion... well, they not only make me ill, but also very sad... and embarrassed to be a citizen of this fair nation.

Hopefully you will recover soon and get back to your adapted homeland. You never did tell us what happened with your passport or drivers license not being up to date.
Missing you colorful blogging from Oaxaca.
Have a wonderful holiday season.

Gracias! I renewed my license online (Yay, MA DMV) and already received it by mail.
The passport... that was in 2012 and it took a couple of days. Now, I know to check. I'll be back in a couple of weeks.
