The here and now... and what and why

Complacency is a trap. At least that’s what I was thinking when I up and left the comfort of a Yankee prep school gig, where I taught music, amongst other things, for 28 years. There was also that life long career as a composer, musician and artist.

First, it was a year in St. Thomas, USVI, working as a reporter and shooting photography and then, a year in San Agustin Etla, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Time passed.
More time passed and a year back in the Athens of America followed by a hasty return to Oaxaca where it is all happening.
A couple of years in San Sebastian Etla and now, just down the road in San Pablo Etla. Life is good.

Lasers on the Cathedral

Here is the laser show that was projected against the cathedral in the zocalo several times every night this week.  It was really beautiful and used the architecture of the building very effectively.  Plus, it was sooo cool, full of all the things that make Oaxaca special.

Is this a new kind of exhibition - haven't seen that kind in Oaxaca before.

Will they have such an exhibition at Dia de Muertos time, too, do you know?

Thank you again! Todo precioso y hermoso y fantastico!!

I don't know if they will do it for Muertos, but it was such a success with three shows each night for over a week, I am sure someone is thinking about it.
I had not seen anything like his before here, but I know they did something similar in the zocalo in Mexico City.
