As I mentioned in the previous post, Oaxaca always has a varied and expansive public art scene. Almost every neighborhood has its own versions and 'tis the season to let it all go. This installation of figures in the style of the dancers from Tehuantepec is right across from the sandia pieces. It's a made to order photo spot with Santo Domingo in the back. Someone in the government/tourist/arts world sure knows what they are doing. More mañana.
These are great! What R they made of
ReplyDeleteSo it seems you are getting out and about a bit more. Here in El Norte the " S### is hitting the fan" again. 27,000 new cases in NY yesterday!! ( and those are just the reported cases-lot's of people are self testing at home and most likely not reporting their results) I know 7 people who tested positive this week! 6 R vexed and just real sick at home-1 unvaxed in intensive care in critical condition. It's getting scary again. Just in time for the holidays!
So...be careful out there!
I hardly go in to the city at all, but I needed coffee. I remain overly cautious, but I'm still kickin'. Stay safe... and sane.
