Watching the Winter Games is pure fun here. They are on for 18-24 hours a day, as far as I can tell, with very few commercials and, because the Mexican team is so small, the coverage covers everything and everyone relatively equally. I have not read how well NBC is handling it all in the States, but it's almost pure sports here, no "up close and personal" and no nationalism. Of course, the Mexican team may be small, but they have created quite a stir with their uniforms.
¡Viva Mexico!

Oh, I love these uniforms! Not specifically for the look, but for the wonderful exuberance and creative unconventionality they represent. In following this up on the internet, I saw the delightfully dashing 'Mariachi' uniform from the 2014 Winter Olympics. Go Mexico!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I just caught on recently to the fact that you're the guy who did the fabulous 2-part video of the laser light show on the Oaxaca cathedral facade. I've saved that, sent it to almost every friend, and re-watch it periodically myself. The show excites me and moves me tremendously each time, and your video is far and away better than any of the other videos of it, not surprisingly since I see you're a professional videographer. Thank you for doing it and sharing it on You Tube - it's a treasure.
Yes, those uniforms are just so perfect. And glad you enjoyed the video. I haven't seen anything here quite like it since. It was a tour de force.
