Hoy?

Will today be the day that the teachers of Section 22 decide to start their annual sit-in or planton in the zocalo?  Oaxacan teachers are famous or infamous, depending on your perspective, for their political power and systemic manipulation or in this case, systemic shutdown.  This has been going on for a very long time, close to forty years of plantons.  The sit-in of 2006 and the six months of anarchy it created, resulted in the almost complete collapse of the economy.  Seven years later, it is still recovering and the teachers are still striking.  Really, it is an ugly part of the social fabric.  The end result is that the inefficiencies continue, the corruption spreads and above all, children are deprived of the necessary education to improve their lives and the well-being of the state.  Think about that - forty years of people not getting the education that they need, demand and deserve.
Oy!.... I mean, ¡Ay!
I'm all outta chocolate.  I guess I will have to go out and find some, but I expect to be thwarted by blockades and marches.  I do, however, have a cunning plan........
UPDATE:
Seek and ye shall find....

And so it starts, but for how long this time?
Indefinite?

  2. Strike and disruption scheduled for Wednesday.
