Two halves that can never be put back together.
Actually, this is the one surviving melon from my garden. It seemed they presented too tempting a taste treat to some night visitors and when I went out to check this morning, only this one remained.... with only a few teeth marks and nibbles on one end.
But really, the state of the world is not so good if one can believe one's lyin' eyes.
I think this story typifies what is going on. Governments simply do their best to ignore the people. In the States it is economic and political. Here, people are dying.
“They’ve sought to reduce (the talks) to insubstantial media formality, even as the legislative agenda continues onward deaf to the voices of the citizenry.”

Read the whole story from the LAHT.

I would divide the melon into more pieces . . . and include the teeth marks and nibbles. Yes, I agree with you!
